Acorn is Scotland’s only advanced CO₂ transport & storage network

By reusing energy infrastructure, it safely and permanently locks CO₂ emissions captured from industry away in rock formations deep below the North Sea. Acorn would make use of one of the UK’s most mature and best-understood geological CO₂ storage sites more than 100km off the north-east coast of Aberdeenshire, and 2.5km below the North Sea bed
